Sukie releases new single "Pink" (Official Music Video & Lyrics)

Sukie is back with a new hallucinogenic track "Pink." You can call this new song wavy, you can call it hypnotic pop, say it a catchy synth-pop, or bedroom pop, call it whatever you want, this song is weaponized in such a way to get stuck inside your head, from start to all the way down to the “la la la” chorus.

Sukie, the moniker for performer Caitlin Grace O'Shea, is as yet a generally new face in the non-mainstream music scene. Her first EP, Feliz Cumpleanos Baby!, was out a year ago and contains some extraordinary lo-fi pop. Another single, 'Pigs,' and a coordinated effort with soul-pop craftsman Webmoms named 'Rice and Potatoes', are the lone past deliveries to think about 'Pink' to.

All things considered, 'Pink' is by all accounts a stage out of the room. Indeed, the cloudiness and wavy-ness are still there, however, a more splendid drum circle and vocals set stronger in the blend highlight a craftsman hoping to reach past a couple of fashionable person kids staggering around Spotify playlists like 'idk.' and 'independent'.

I wouldn't really call it driven, yet it's consistently a decent sign when an independent artist doesn't feel like they need to suffocate their music in such an excess of reverberation that it turns into some sort of trendy Phil Spector bad dream. The move from Feliz Cumpleanos Baby! to 'Pink' is a promising movement.

"It was the center of lockdown when I composed 'Pink'," she clarifies. "With such a lot of extra energy on my hands, I wound up reasoning increasingly more about the past, thinking back on my teenhood. 'Pink' is tied in with pounding on my closest companions, being terrified of my own sexuality, and being desirous of individuals who were secure in theirs. You're so befuddled and easily affected in those years, and I needed to catch those emotions in a tune that was fun just as nostalgic."

The video for 'Pink' highlights Sukie, decked out in a progression of lively outfits, staying nearby and singing to the camera in various settings, one of which must be depicted as a lamentably thick pool of fluid with simply her face standing out.

The YouTube portrayal likewise says that 'Pink' is the principal single for the forthcoming EP Hey Cutie, however, there doesn't appear to be a release date for that presently.
